Phishing

Phishing a form of social engineering attack where a threat actor pretends to be a trusted entity in order to gain sensitive information.

Threat Actor

The person or group that is initiating the cyber crime.

LLM - Large Language Model

This is the fundamental architecture of chat applications like ChatGPT, CLaude, and Deepseek. LLMs are machine learning models that train on trillions of words to predict what letters are likely to come next. This is why LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude and Deepseek can "hallucinate" and misrepressent data

ML - Machine Learning

ML is the bedrock of all modern artifical intelligence, it's architecture is similar to our own brain's anatomy with neurons and synapses that fire in one direction first, then reverse that direction to correct and identify neurons that may be clouding the models judgement and correct them.

Agent

An AI application that can, without supervision or command, work on and plan tasks it can execute without human intervention.

Insider Threat

When someone in an organization becomes a threat to the organization that employs them. These threats are particularly bad due to the actor having intimate knowledge of internal systems and elevated access to information not know by non-employees.

EDR

An EDR is software that ingests and analyzes outputs from endpoints, computers, in a network for anamolous activity or hidden or nonconforming network behavior.
